A beautiful and smart actress, she's an inspirational model for many Asian actors who aspire to be successful in Hollywood. After a series of initial appearances in some popular series the actress gained notoriety when she joined the cast of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. It was a moment of fame that led to movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. In Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an impressive performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren.
